Two scopes, no gaps: our partnership with Nordic Aviation CAMO & Consulting
Airborne Solutions and Nordic Aviation CAMO & Consulting are now working together on aircraft transitions. They hold the EASA airworthiness side; we handle the brokerage, the ferry flight and the crew. Here is what it changes for anyone buying or selling an aircraft between Europe and North America.
Most aircraft transactions do not fail on price. They stall on records, on a change of registry, on maintenance nobody scoped before the offer went in. That is the part of a deal that happens in a hangar rather than in a negotiation, and it is the part we have chosen to stop improvising.
Nordic Aviation CAMO & Consulting AS and Airborne Solutions LLC have signed a partnership combining continuing airworthiness management, operational expertise and aircraft transaction support. It expands both companies’ services for aircraft owners, buyers, sellers and operators, from transaction preparation through delivery and ongoing in-service support, and it covers one-off assignments as much as long-term support.
Nordic Aviation CAMO & Consulting is an EASA Part-CAMO organisation headquartered in Hønefoss, Norway, with airworthiness review staff based in Norway, Denmark and Finland. Within the scope of its approvals and privileges, it provides short-term and long-term continuing airworthiness management, including during transitions between owners or operators, together with the planning, coordination and technical oversight of maintenance work carried out by the relevant maintenance organisations. Its services also cover airworthiness reviews and the renewal of Airworthiness Review Certificates, airworthiness recommendations to civil aviation authorities in support of aircraft imports, exports and changes of registration, and the issuance of Permits to Fly.
Airborne Solutions brings the other half. We help buyers identify aircraft suited to their operational needs, and we help sellers bring their aircraft to market and reach prospective purchasers. We coordinate ferry flights and connect clients with qualified crews across multiple locations, which is what turns a signed contract into an aircraft that actually arrives. With a presence in Europe and North America, we broaden the partnership’s market reach and its ability to support international acquisitions, sales and transfers of registry.

Put together, these capabilities let us tailor support to each project: aircraft sourcing or marketing, pre-purchase inspections and technical records reviews, coordination of required maintenance, regulatory preparation for transfer, the ferry flight itself, and onboarding into CAMO management afterwards.
For a client, the value is in aligning the purchase or sale decision with the aircraft’s technical condition and its delivery requirements. Coordination between the two teams is meant to anticipate maintenance needs and airworthiness procedures, keep communication moving between everyone involved, and leave no gap in oversight during a change of ownership, state of registration or operator.
Vincent Barelli-Rey, Founder and CEO of Nordic Aviation CAMO & Consulting, puts it this way: “For our clients, a successful aircraft transition means delivery as planned, with a clear understanding of the aircraft’s condition and maintenance requirements. Achieving that starts well before the handover. By combining our independent airworthiness expertise with Airborne Solutions’ operational knowledge, crew solutions and brokerage capabilities, we can anticipate obstacles, coordinate the necessary steps and give buyers greater clarity throughout the transition. Our shared objective is to see the aircraft arrive at its destination with complete maintenance records and documented airworthiness status handed over, giving the new owner confidence in the next stage of ownership.”
From our side, the reasoning is simpler still. Most aircraft transactions do not fail on price, they stall on records and registry. Working with an independent Part-CAMO organisation that handles those steps every week means we can tell a buyer what the airworthiness side will take before the offer goes in, rather than after.
One point worth stating plainly: each company contracts separately with its own clients and remains solely responsible for the services it provides. The partnership is non-exclusive and does not constitute a joint venture or a single legal entity. Neither of us does what the other does, and that is exactly why it works.
